[Bonetools] (no subject)

It is not always easy to tell from a photograph, but this appears to be bone
and not ivory.  It shows evidence of a vascular system.

Does anyone have an idea what this object may be? It is 1.5 inches in length
and was found on a late 17th-century site in South Carolina, USA.
