Hi Alice,

Ooohhhhh Hallstatt, I am so there.

I think that it is totally wrong for Isabelle to publish only some of the papers. We send her our paper ages ago and we have heard nothig back. I understand Petar's situation. Is there any way that we can help him get the volume into print?

Pam

  Dear Pam and Doug,
I am not so enthusiastic about Poland but the meetings were really nice. Not so fancy as in France but more homey with many more Poles of course. I have heard a nasty gossip that Isabelle only wants to pick selected papers from the participants to publish. I am totally against this. I wrote to her but she never responded. Jorg keeps saying he will publish the Basel volume and Petar wrote an honest letter about his PhD and volume delays. He will eventually publish but now he has a little matter of the eminent birth of child to slow him down.
We missed you. The next meetings will be in Salzburgh and I have already yelled that our American colleagues could not come because of the late timing so the meetings in 2 years will be earlier and we will go to Hlstatt! YEAH!

  Love,
  Alice

Alice, Many thanks for this. How were the meetings in Poland. I feel so badly that Doug and I could not make it. Pam

      Dear Colleagues,
One of the mainstays of the Worked Bone Research Group is its status as an official working group of the International Council of Archaeozoology. ICAZ provides vital name recognition internationally and will be generally important to us in the future for finding funds for publishing and conference organization. I would like to encourage all of you who are interested in bone tools in one form or another to seriously consider joining or renewing your membership in the 'mother' organization. Greetings,

      Alice Choyke
