Dear Alice,
I know two example of those Roman heddles in bronze here from Austria
(Lauriacum and Flavia Sovla), one of these is published. As far as I
remember, A. MacGregor in his book "Bone, antler, ivory and horn" has one in
bone. If you need a xerox of the published bronez heddle, let me know.
