Thanks for sharing this. 

Unfortunately I don't know anything about Open Atrium. Was your problem about 
OA not being able to properly show the login link?

Based on your posts, I can think of two valid feature requests to the module:
 - support for 'automatic' session initiation (as also suggested by Tommy 
Peterson)
 - support for images as a login link

Please let me know if I understand you right. If one files a feature request, 
then it's possible that someone will try and implement them. Unfortunately  I 
won't be able to do it at least until mid-summer.
