27 November- 1 December 2023:  Hackathon Optimizing for AMD GPUs  (NCC Poland) in Kraków, Poland on-site: The hackathon is a way for you to get free help to optimize your software for the AMD GPUs available on LUMI-G! The selected projects will receive help from HPE and AMD staff of the HPE Center of Excellence for LUMI and from members of the LUMI User Support Team. The hackathon will be 5 days on site Kraków, Poland. Additionally, we will have a one day online preparation day which includes an introduction to profiling CPU and GPU code on LUMI. 28-29 November 2023 : Parallel programming tools MPI, OpenMP (NCC France) on-site: This course aims at learning to parallelize applications in order to reduce compute time or solve larger problems using MPI/OpenMP programming models. The course is taught using formal lectures and practical/programming sessions. All examples in the course will be done in Fortran, the exercices can be done in Fortran or C. 4-7 December 2023 ONLINE: Introduction to GPU Programming using CUDA --> [English]

The course provides an introduction to the programming language CUDA which is used to write fast numeric algorithms for NVIDIA GPUs. Emphasis is placed on basic use of the language and efficient use of hardware to maximize performance.

This course is dedicated to scientists and students to learn (sequential) programming of scientific applications with Fortran. The course teaches the newest Fortran standards. Hands-on sessions will allow users to immediately test and understand the language constructs.

23-25 January 2023 HYBRID in Stuttgart and online: Hybrid Programming in HPC - MPI+X --> [English]

Most HPC systems are clusters of shared memory nodes. This course analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of several parallel programming models on clusters of SMP nodes. Multi-socket-multi-core systems in highly parallel environments are given special consideration. A "how-to" section is dedicated to tools for hybrid programming such as thread/process placement support and performance analysis.

14-16 Feb, 2024: High-Level GPU Programming course, in Espoo, Finland (NCC Finland) on-site: After this 3-day course, participants are able to write hardware-agnostic code to express parallelism using SYCL and Kokkos that can run on CPU, Nvidia GPU, or AMD GPU, manage memory across devices, do basic performance analysis, and evaluate the drawbacks between different approaches for programming GPUs.
