Hi Marloes,
the drietanden have been bonetool of the month in April 2020 (https://www.wbrg.net/bonetool-of-the-month-archives/bonetool-archives-2020/ <https://www.wbrg.net/bonetool-of-the-month-archives/bonetool-archives-2020/>). Dario Gadidi sent a request that time about an object which has only two teeth but looks very similar otherwise. It has been found in an early medieval site in Friaul, Italy. In the April 2020 blog I also assembled all references to these drietanden I am aware of. There are several from Belgium (Antwerp and Gent), and if I remember correctly there are also a few from Germany.
Best wishes.
Christian

They are usually made of cattle metcarpals and are dated between in the Netherlands between the 9th and 13th century AD.
