Dear worked bone list,
I am currently working on a Bronze Age site near Toledo (Spain). The
two attached bone artefacts were found near the mandible of a human
skeleton. In my opinion they were fashioned from cattle radii but I
have no idea of their function. The double perforations are present
only on one side. The proximal and distal edges of the bone piece are
polished. The archaeologist thinks they might be part of a necklace.
They are 57 mm in length and the lateral-medial width is 34 mm aprox.
Any thoughts, parallels or comments would be most than welcome.
Best regards and stay healthy,
Marta
