Dear Marloes,
Is this antler or could it be the compact bone tissue from one surface of something like cattle pelvis or horse mandible?
All the best,
Sonia

Subject: [Bonetools] antler disc
Dear all,
I am looking for similar finds or references for this antler disc (or perhaps for the decoration?). It is probably dating 13-15 century AD, it is made of antler and is rather thin. The traces at the back and the two pins show that it was probably inlay/mount of a casket or something else.
Thanks,
Marloes
