[Bonetools] Marks on a bone tool

Dear Gloria,
     Two points one of which is a reminder to other people on the list). If
you saw Manuel's letter then you must be on the list but at a different
e-mail address. Remember - if you have several addresses then you might
want to register otherwise your letters will not get through or  must allow
them through separately.
    Secondly - I have seen these cattle scapula  from the Late Bronze Age
levels at Tell Dor in Israel and I have even seen similar objects from the
Early Bronze Age in Arslantepe in central-eastern Turkey. Nevertheless
there are so many notched tools that can have so many different uses -
these LBA-Iron Age scapula are well worn with a high use polish . Manuel's
small split caprine metatarsals seem to have much sharper edges so I really
doubt the function could have been similar.
       Thank you for these two articles  - I was unaware of them and it is
nice to see the distribution area of this type begin to emerge.
