[Bonetools] Turned bone tool fragment

Dear Clare,
There are a number of things this could be part of the two that come to mind are part of a turned needle box or apple corer. I attach 3 photos of some of my commercially turned apple corers this would fit your date and because you only have a fragment the treads would look horizontal, hope this can be of help.
