Dear Steve,
I have no serious reservations about the Facebook page as long as we are not aiming at something like Zoobook. In the form that Steve suggests it sounds like a really useful tool and anyway we can link the two sites to keep up some level of interoperability.
Cheers!
Alice

Hi all
As I see it we could use the Facebook site to direct attention to updates on the website, but NOT to duplicate content, or to add competitive content. I would not, for instance, want to have 'bone tool of the month' on there, to use it to list new publications etc, or to draw queries away from the mailing list. I simply thought it would be nice to have an informal way to keep in touch for those of us who want it.
The idea comes out of what was a very successful meeting at Belgrade, which I think got several of us excited about ongoing research, potential collaborations, and what is an unusually collegial atmosphere for an academic conference. We thought it would be nice to keep this momentum going, and to prime us all for future conferences. I don't think it would be fair or feasible to ask Hans Christian to use the website for this; the WBRG is an amazing resource, and one that we would not want to change. What we are suggesting is a very different animal. The alternative - using the mailing list to dump reams of photographs, to continue half-finished discussions, and to share memories and informal conversations - seems equally inappropriate.
I don't suggest we have a long discussion about this on the mailing list - that would defeat the point of this whole idea - but if anyone is either strongly in favour or has any serious reservations about this, then please contact me off-list. I can then get back to you all with a proposed plan of action.
Thanks for your consideration.
Steve

Dear colleagues,
Now for some less formal information. First, I've made a choice of photos from Bg from various authors, that can be downloaded from the following link: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_fCUFILK4cTc3E4VXVldWdmZEk&usp=sharing
(I will leave the link open for some time, but not infinitely.) I will post some of them on wbrg page.
Second, as many of us have facebook accounts, the idea emerged to create a facebook group for sharing photos and more-less informal news. Archaeomalacology already has a group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/250778365036844/ and this one will be similar, and also a closed group (mainly to avoid spam). Steve Ashby volunteered to create one, although he might need few more admins. Hope you all agree on it.
best, Selena

Dear colleagues,
It was my honor and pleasure to be your host at the jubilee 10th WBRG Meeting in Belgrade. Thank you again to all of you who came, to all of you who sent their papers/posters and to all of you for the support.
I hope that you had a nice time here and that all of you have arrived safely to your homes or designed destinations, although some of you had quite an adventure on return.
I hope you found the conference successful and interesting. I think that we covered a lot of interesting questions, research topics and saw many interesting case studies from all over the world.
Brief reminder for you who were present and quick informations for you who were absent on future meetings:
Several offers have been made for organisation of next meetings, and, after some calculations how not to make a gap between meetings too long but also to avoid the overlapping with ICAZ meetingsin the future, we decided to accept the offer of Luminţa Bejenaru from Iaşi, Romania to organize 11th Meeting in spring 2016 (approx. in 1,5 years) and offer from Manuel Altamirano from Granada, Spain to organize 12th Meeting in late summer/early autumn 2017 (therefore approx. 1,5 years after the meeting in Romania). Erik Hrnčiarik from Trnava, Slovakia offered to organize meeting in 2019.
I will send very soon infos for the publication.
best regards, Selena
