With black, yes, much more frequent than red.
behind 1, at bottom 3 ? In that case, the 2 is along a 3-series of dots
of the thing (alexandrian joint) ; a fine "classical" classical die.
behind medullar, in front cortical
Use may have worn away the colour on the surface, except where it is
protected (in the depressions) ; is there not some red left around the
dot 1 (on the slightly concave medullar surface) ?
On top (4), which is a transversal section, where the bone is the
hardest, the circles aere the best/deapest preserved.
