[Bonetools] bone objects

Dear Etan,
In an old box of bone objects from the 1976 season of excavation in
Herodion, I came across a toothbrush very similar to yours, with only
remains of hair inside the small holes. It had a basket and locus number,
absolute height and a date of finding. I wasn't sure it was even bone so I
took it to the lab here, and indeed it was plastic... probably used by the
excavators to clean pottery and somehow lost and found again... (-:
In Ir David we found (a couple of months ago) what I think is a Nargila
mouth piece. Its undecorated and very simple. It was found in 18th-19th
century context with lots of German, French and British porcelain
fragments, and also a few ceramic Nargila heads.
I'll send you a picture as soon as I'll have it within my grasp again.
