[Bonetools] thrown percussion

Hi all,

I've come across the term "thrown percussion" in reference to hide-working
while reading Raskova Zelinkova 2010 (attached, "thrown percussion" is
first mentioned on the second page). Leroi-Gourhan 1971 is referenced, but
I don't have access to the book nor do I read French. I was wondering if
anyone could explain what this method entails and how it works.
