Dear Alice,
As for visa, although I am not sure if it is difficult to get a visa from Chinese embassy, I know many friends including Richard Meadow, Anne Pike-Tay, and Kate Pechenkina (Queens College of New York City University), T. R. Kidder (from St Louis Washington University) from US, Richard Cosgrove and Tim Murray from Australia, Peter Rowley-Conwy from UK, you from Hungary, and so on have never faced problems. Especially, Kate Pechenkina have been my institute around five times.
I will write a letter of invitation  around the end of Jan. 2013to everyone who plans to join in the meting. I think visa is not a problem.
Cheers
Xiaolin

Dear all,      Xiaolin writes to say he will write a letter of invitation for whoever is planning to participate. I think that the best for everyone is to go to the website of the local embassy and check requirements. Here, in Hungary the website makes no mention of US citizens needing anything but their suitcase however it pays to triple check these things.
 Best,Alice
