[Bonetools] antler object iron age

Dear all,

Thank you for your comments and pictures. I have
identified the used material as antler, probably red deer antler.

This object has been found in The Hague, the Netherlands, and probably dates to
the mid-iron age, 500-250 BC.

I have no idea about its function. The pottery from this site indicate that
salt production probably took place at this site. Two holes obviously have wear
and it is possible that a third hole was present at the broken end. I don't
know the original length of the object. If anyone has a good idea I would love
to hear it.

Does anyone know about any objects from the same period with a similar
decoration?

Best wishes,

Marloes
