Dear Marloes,
I went to the lab this morning and could look again at your first
picture, the not very acurate remembrance of which let me a little bit
dream - I apoligize - yersterday on the countryside. The preserved end
made me think of the "cordier de rebec", you remember. I thouhgt that
it was a tablet/plate, not a complete section as it is.
With the three pictures (down, I opened them only yesterday evening),
it's clear that it is a complete section. Are you sure of antler ?
The main thing now is that it makes me remember of a complete object
which was on our screens months ago, looking more or less as a
coat-hanger - and for which no explanation came.
Your's.
François Poplin.
