[Bonetools] unknown object

Domino pieces were always flat while this object seems to have a convex bottom, judged by the photo (is it so, Marloes?). So perhaps a kind of mount or raw pieces for a handle etc., even with two of them attached together around a cylindrical object (shift?), as the edges along the bottom are flat.

Marloes.
May it be raw material to cover chembalo claviature keys or perhaps to make domino peaces. They were often made as a sandwich of one layer of bone and one layer of ebony fastened together with a tiny ravet.

Another mystery bone object.
Any ideas or parallells for this 17th/18th century object??
With best wishes,
Marloes
