Cher Putelat,

comme vous demandiez d'autres déterminations, je vous signale que des 
objets similaires, plus grands et à bords concaves, sont désignés 
parfois comme rhombes (pour faire du bruit), mais je préfère 
l'explication "textile" du */tissage aux cartons/*. Ce nom de /carton 
/est le termle consacré en français. Ils en faut plusieurs pour tisser 
un lé large comme une ceinture.

Quand il y a un décor, dans le haut Moyen Âge, des problèmes se posent 
avec des plaques de décor de coffrets, etc. Voir J.-F. Goret.
