Dear Lorant,There is a similar bronze knife-handle from Rome, published by E. Mercklin, Römische Klappmessergriffe 1940, Anm. 73; Taf. XXXIX 4;I also know four bone knife-handles with dolphin, but without Eros: from Ephesos, Cairo, Trier and Paris. The dolphins are very similar to your example. I can send you the references if you need them, and also some stuff about Eros represented in bone knife-handles, unfortunately without the dolphin.David Bartus
