Hello,
I am a member of the JISCMail Zoo Arch list and posted there about the degreasing of animal bones prior to being worked as I am both a Dark Ages re-enactor (the village bone worker) and an archaeology student (wanting to specialise in animal bones). I was referred to this list by another member
of the Zoo Arch because you may be able to help me.
Basically I want to know what evidence, if any, there is for the degreasing of bones before working with them during the Anglo-Scandanavian periods and the early Medieval.
TAny help would be very appreciated,
David Constantine
