Try this: Click on the Office button, then Word Options, Advanced, then go
to the "Save" section and disable "Allow background saves". Note that this
is NOT the autosave option. This has solved the problem for me.

I had the same problem and I finally figured it out ! 

In Windows Explorer I had the preview pane turned on. When I opened the
document it appears that Windows explorer interprets the document as being
already open because it is viewable in the preview pane, and therefore it
opens the document as "read only". 

The solution: turn of the preview pane in Windows Explorer. Open Windows
Explorer to the folder where the document is located. Then turn of preview
pane by clicking Organize / Layout / Preview Pane.

was having exactly the same problem as everyone else has been reporting. I
could be editing a Word document and saving it periodically as I went along.
The document is on my C: drive but is not in the "My Documents" folder.
Suddenly, after a save, the document would become read-only. This seemed to
happen more often when I used Ctrl-S to save rather than clicking the
diskette icon, but regardless, here it the fix that worked for me: 

I followed this procedure to fix it: 
1. Click the Office button 
2. Click the "Word Options" button 
3. Select "Advanced" from the left navigation bar 
4. Scroll down to the "Save" section 
5. Un-check "Allow background saves" 
6. Click the "OK" button 

You should have no more mysterious read-only documents.

Gazdasági vezetőnk problémája:

Win7 Ent., Netware kliens ir2a, Office 2010
Excel táblázat megnyitása a hálózatról: a fájlt más használja, több
lehetőség... ha értesítést kérünk, akkor 20-30 másodperc múlva jelez, hogy
jó.
(Nem tudok most odamenni, ilyet még nem láttam.)
Mentéskor hasonlóan.

A fájlt más nem használja, az biztos. A szerveren Virusbuster fut.
Kliensbeállítás vagy vírusvédelmi probléma?

Én is a fenti összeállítást használom - más hardveren - de a probléma nem
jelentkezett.
