HISTORY
The International Conference NITe is held once in every two years.
The previous Second (NITE-96) and The Third (NITE-98) International
Conferences were held at the Information Technologies Department of
State Economic University, Minsk, Belarus. These Conferences were
attended by delegates from 12 countries.
This year Conference is aimed to unite scientists from the East & West
Europe together, especially scientists in Computer Science, and to
become a place of their creative cooperation and information exchange.
Within the Conference there will be organized a Workshop on "New
Information Technologies in Education" (NITE-2000). This Workshop will
concern of perspectives of applications of new information technologies in education.
LANGUAGE
The official Conference language is English.
The languages of the Workshop will be Russian and English.
TOPICS
The Conference makes is focused on a wide range of applications of
computer systems.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
1. Artificial Intelligence Systems
2. Evolutionary Algorithms and Their Applications
3. Fuzzy Logic and Its Applications
4. Logic Design
5. Mathematical & Computational Methods
6. Medical Applications of New Information Technologies
7. Modeling & Simulation
8. Telecommunications and Networking
9. Computer Data Analysis
10. Banking and Electronic Commerce
On the Workshop participants are welcome to discuss the following topics:
1. Information Infrastructure of Higher Educational Establishment
2. Modern Telecommunications and Information Technologies in Education
3. Modern Problems of Teaching and Information Technologies in Natural Science and Humanities
4. Sciencific Research in the Field of Informatization
5. Information Resources Management in Education
Authors are invited to submit papers describing original work in one
of the above areas. The scope of NITe'2000 includes papers, panel
sessions and tools proposals in the areas of basic and applied research.
NITe'2000 organizers believe that contributions describing the latest
development and results of investigations will be presented in all
of the topics suggested.

Notification of acceptance/rejection September 10, 2000
Camera Ready deadline November 1, 2000
Registration Fee November 1, 2000
Conference December 5-7, 2000
FEES
Registration fee for the participants is 200 USD.
Reduced Conference Fee (15 USD) is possible.
This Reduced Fee includes the Proceedings of the NITe-2000 and coffee breaks only.
AWARDS
Depending on the final balance of the Conference, the Organising
Committee will grant an award to the author of the best paper presented
at NITe-2000.
HOTEL ACCOMODATION
Accommodation will be arranged at the request of participants
SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACT
The abstract should not exceed 250 words (not more than 1 page),
including figures and text. Abstracts and papers for review could be
presented "as it is" (there are no strict requirements to prepare them).
Preferably, text should be typed with single spacing and Times
New Roman 12 point font, one column of A4 paper, with margins
equal to 2.5 cm). A cover page must include: title, information
about all authors (names, complete mailing addresses, e-mail and fax).
Abstract (together with Registration Form) should be post-mailed or
e-mailed to the Conference address.
Authors will be informed about paper acceptance after reviewing.
PUBLICATION
All papers accepted by reviewers will be published in the Proceedings
of NITe'2000. Furthermore, selected papers will be considered to be
published in extended form in a book or in an international journal.

Minsk is the capital of the Republic of Belarus.
The population of Minsk amounts to 1,800,000 inhabitants.
Minsk is major centre of industry, trade, culture and science of the
republic.
There are many higher educational institutions in Minsk such as State
University, Economic University, University of Informatics &
Radioelectronics, Politechnical Academy, Linguistic University,
Technological University, Medicine Academy etc.
The city has a number of cultural establishments such as Belarussian
Theatre, Opera House, Light Opera, Philharmonic Hall, State Circus,
variety of museums and Art galleries.
BELARUS STATE ECONOMIC UNIVERSITY
Belarus State Economic University is the leader University in Belarus
which trains specialists in the areas of economy and accounting,
management and finance, statistics, commerce and economic cybernetics
for all industries and all types of enterprises and organisations of
national economy. In 1993 the University celebrated its sixtieth
anniversary..
The number of day-time and part-time students (students from Europe,
Asia, Latin America and Africa are among them) exceeds 15,000.
About 50 professors work at the University.
The University maintains academic links with institutions of higher
learning from USA, Great Britain, Austria, Germany, Poland, China,
Spain and other countries.
The main trends of cooperation are as follows:
exchange of tutors and academicians to deliver lectures and conduct
seminars;
exchange of teaching and methodological experience;

exchange of textbooks, monographs and research papers;
probation of lectures and post-graduates and holding conferences and
symposiums.
The University is founder of number of joint ventures and stock companies.
It is also a member of International Fund of University Cooperation,
the European Association of Economy & Industrial Management, etc.
>>From the great number of different departments of the University the
one of the important and progressive department is the Department of
Information Technologies (DIT). DIT is the main organizer of NITe-2000.
This Department assists to future economists to learn about Operation
systems, Office technologies, Internet programming, Banking information
technologies, etc. The main teaching courses are: Economy informatics
basics, Applied systems of processing of economy information, Computer
information technologies. There are also many special courses. DIT
carry out researches in various sciencific fields.
