BOBCATSSS 2008 Â Program Information: Web 2.0
In the following we give you a first insight into the programme:
Web 2.0 is the talk of the town. Some people even talk about a Web 3.0.
But what does Web 2.0 actually mean, does it really exist and which
consequences do these changes of the internet have? What are new options
and methods being offered by Web 2.0? Which consequences for identity
management, privacy and sharing does it bring?. Which role do libraries
and information specialists play in this development?
In the panel discussion “Web 2.0” Tom Roos, Patrick Danowski and Margaret
Heller want to discuss a wide range of questions concerning this topic and
hope to find answers to some of these questions.
So come to the BOBCATSSS 2008 symposium to have a look at her poster and
to discuss with her.
Moreover you have the chance to discover and get an insight into many
other challenging ideas on the topic “Providing Access to Information for
Everyone” in Zadar, Croatia from 28 to 30 January 2008.
In these three days we do not only want to raise your awareness for the
topic of unequal availability of information but also provide the basis
for new ideas and concepts. Besides, the exchange of ideas and experiences
of course networking will be a very important part of the conference.
Please notice that only 40 tickets of the conference are left! If you are
one of those who have not yet registered please go to the online
registration(http://www.bobcatsss2008.org/index.php?lang=en&url=registration)
The Online-Registration will be definitively closed at 14 January 2008.
We are looking forward to your participation. Discuss with us!!!
