Subject: Floating Islands

The second question is more difficult. In p. 74-5 of this book:

Balassa, Ivan, Lapok, falvak, emberek: Bodrogkoz (Budapest, 1975)

the author mentions some floating islands between the rivers Tisza and Bodr=
og=20
that existed until the second half of the 19th century, and that were used=
=20
for pasturage.

This is really interesting, and I would like to learn more about these=20
floating islands, and the Hungarian practise of using floating islands for=
=20
pasturage. Do you have any ideas about how I might find information about=
=20
them? I have looked here for books about the history of Hungarian=20
agriculture, for example, but I have not been able to find anything. I woul=
d=20
be very interested and grateful to hear any suggestions you might have!

Thanks again and best wishes,

Chet
