"Symposium on the Internet, Electronic Commerce and Intellectual
Property" - WIPO event in the Hungarian Patent Office

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) organizes, in
cooperation with the Hungarian Patent Office, an International Symposium
on the Internet, Electronic Commerce and Intellectual Property in
Budapest, from October 20 to 22, 1998. The program of the three-day event
includes lectures on the challenges of the Internet and electronic
commerce in the field of intellectual property (industrial property and
copyright).

On the third day of the symposium (October 22) WIPO will hold a
consultation meeting on the relationship between trademarks and domain
names and on the ideas of WIPO about the registration of Internet domain
names.
