These are Galileo's drawings and calculations leading to his theory of
mechanics and motion.  All the text is available in Italian and English.
Material from the Discorsi, the publication that grew from these notes, is
also available. These pages will change based on input from scholars using
the site.

This is a combined project of the National Library of Florence, the
Institute and Museum for the History of Science in Florence and the Max
Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin.

Jurgen Renn, director of the Max Planck Institute, wanted to make the
collected works of Albert Einstein available on the Internet as well, but
copyright problems forced him to abandon this plan.
