Kossuth Lajos ketes dicsosege avagy a NAIL-munkalatok

Kossuth Lajos amerikai utjarol szinte mindent leirtak mar, viszont meg
semmit nem olvastam annak reszletirol, hogy ez a nevezetes korut milyen
melyen ivodott bele az egyszeru amerikai nep lelkebe - mar ha szabad ilyet
mondani. A latogatas utan otven evvel szuletett meg a Sziklas-hegysegben,
a Colorado allambeli megindito nevu Heart Butte (Vajsziv) korzeteben a
Lavarro csalad gyermeke:  Louie Kossuth (!) Lavarro. A Lavarrok indianok
voltak, a kis Kossuth Lajos pedig kulonosen hanyatott soru lett: arvasagra
jutott, nagyapja nevelte. Felcseperedve ugy tunik nem valt ertekes tagjava
a tarsadalomnak, vagy mashogy fogalmazva: forradalmar modra (nomen est
omen!) nem adta fel nepe osi szokasait, eb ura fako! nem valt belole
gazda, de mas farmerek koze se allt be dolgozni. Jobb szerette a regi
kurucos eletet, a lovaglast, az embert probalo vadaszatokat, a regi
virtuskodast. Sajnos nagyapja es kozte e tekintetben osszetuzes tamadt,
hiszen az mar a letelepultek szolid gazdaeletet folytatta, igy Kossuth
elkoltozott otthonrol, am egy napon visszatert es bosszut vett
serelmeiert:  nagyapja tavolleteben -az indian jegyzo szavajarasaval- het
fej lovat kergetett ki buzafoldjere, majd a kierkezo rendorrel
szolalkozott ossze.  Kezrekeritesenek jutalma: $22.44

Mindez a National Archives--Rocky Mountain Region (NRG), Louie Kossuth
Lavarro ugyirata 103. oldala alapjan derul ki (leveltari szama:
NRG-75-BFT64-103), ami viszont az amerikai Nemzeti Leveltari es Ugyirati
Szervezet [National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)] - az USA
osszes level- es irattaranak fohatosaga - 'Elektronikus Hozzaferesi
Munkaprogramanak' megvalosulasa egyik elso fecskejekent kerult a koz
nyilvanossaga ele, vagyis a halozatra. A munkalatok lenyege:
hozzaferhetove tenni az Egyesult Allamok kb. 120 ezer (!) legfontosabb
szoveges, kepi es hangdokumentumat.

Nem art reszletesen szolni az ujonnan digitalizalt kepekrol. Ezek:

Megjegyzendo, hogy a fenti temak szinte kivetel nelkul egy meglehetosen
elfogult, a "pozitiv diszkriminacio" jegyeben fogant tortenelemszemlelet
eredmenye, ami a tortenettudomany felol nezve: tevedes.

A fenti terv szerintem iranymutatassal szolgalhatna a Neumann Konyvtar
szamara, hiszen
- latvanyos, hangos, inter- (multi-) medialis
- osszekapcsolja a kolunfele torteneti gyujtemenyeket (konyvtarak,
muzeumok, level- es dokumentumtarak, fenykepgyujtemenyek, hangtarak...)
- egyseges, jol dokumentalt, keresheto rendszert alkot
- tartalmaban rendszerezett (meghatarozott gyujtokor, kapcsolodasi
pontokat kinal a bovitesre)
- nyilvanos, mindenki szamara hozzaferheto (bar nyilvan egy bemutatoterem
pentium pro-s gepein, vagy kivetitve mindez kap meg egy "vajszinu
arnyalatot")
- nem veszi eron felul igenybe a szolgaltatokat, vagyis a konyvtarosok,
muzeulogusok stb. nem "szerzoi" a szolgaltatasnak, hanem magas szakmai
szinvonalu "bemutatoi". (a NJDK-korul kialakult vita egyik pontja
ertelmezesem szerint eppen az volt, hogy egy dokumentumot (pl. egy vers
szovegenek "hiteles" valtozatat, vagy egy CD-ROM-ot) a konyvtar
munkatarsai alitsanak-e elo, vagy arra hivatott szakemberek. A NAIL-ben a
szolgaltatok az egyseges rendszer megteremtoi es felvigyazoi, az
otletgazdak, de nem foglalkoznak az interpretalassal [mar ha eltekintunk
attol, hogy kulonfele dolgok egymas melle tetele onmagaban is kiemel
bizonyos jelentesmezoket.])

Szerintem mielobb elo kellene allni egy hasonlo, "digitalizalandok"
listaval - az irodalmi szovegek listajan kivul, amihez megkerulhetetlen a
kozgyujtemenyek kincseinek igen alapos ismerete. Mellesleg a Magyar
Orszagos Leveltar Diplomatikai Fenykepgyujtemenyenek kialakitasa (ami a
kulfoldon levo Mohacs elotti oklevelek _teljeskoru_ feltarasat, es
fenykepezeset, katalogizalasat jelentette) hasonlo folyamat volt.
