az interneten elérhetővé egy most megkötött megállapodás
jóvoltából.</strong><br>

<a href="http://pressandpolicy.bl.uk/">A Google, a British Library
-val kötött szerződés értelmében</a> a BL állományából az 1700 és
1870 között megjelent műveket (nyomtatott könyveket, periodikákat és
pamfleteket) fogja digitalizálni, hármas célból:
szolgáltatásbővítés, állományvédelem és - megőrzés. <br>
<br>
A projekttel a BL a 2020-ig megfogalmazott stratégiai tervének
megvalósítását szolgálja.<br>
A több évre tervezett projekt költségeit a Google állja. Az eredmény
mindkét szerződő fél honlapján, ingyenesen lesz hozzáférhető, és
tervezik, hogy az Európai Digitális Könyvtár, az <a
href="http://www.europeana.eu/">Europeana</a> honlapján is
elérhetővé teszik. <br>
