[KATALIST] LMBT fogalmak szakozása a Kongresszusi Könyvtár ajánlása szerint

Kedves Kollégák!

A korábbi években kritikák érték többek között az etalonnak tekintett
Kongresszusi Könyvtárat, miután katalogizálási és szakozási gyakorlata
erősen korlátozta az LMBT közösség fogalmainak 
megjelenítését és besorolását a feltárásban.  A minap véletlenül
bukkantam rá a felülvizsgált és megújított tárgyszójegyzékre az említett
Library of Congress honlapján. 
Mivel az ETO táblázatok szintén lassan követik a mindennapi életben
történő változásokat, a tisztelt szakozó és katalogizáló könyvtárosok
figyelmébe ajánlom az alábbi listát.

szerepelnek.  Minden korrekciót köszönünk.

Egyben megragadnám az alkalmat, hogy megköszönjem a Könyvtártudományi
Szakkönyvtár munkatársainak, hogy feltárásukban a korábbi 'Beteg
olvasók' tárgyszóból a homoszexuális és transznemű személyeket
kiemelték és 
önálló tárgyszót kaptak 'LMBT olvasók'  / 'LMBT irodalom'  alatt. A
homoszexualitás 1973 óta nem minősül betegségnek a folyamatosan megújuló
DSM-II, DSM-III, DSM-IV, DSM-V. diagnosztikai zsebkönyv szerint,

mivel a normális szexuális viselkedés egyik variációjaként tartják
számon, éppen 50 éve.

Research LGBTQ+ by Subject					 

The Library of Congress Online Catalog
( http://catalog.loc.gov/)  is the main access point for the Library's
collections. Looking for something specific? Just browsing? Either way,
you will need to search the catalog to determine the items location and
availability. As an interdisciplinary subject, you can find relevant
materials in the classified collections from A-Z. Searching by Subject
Heading, keyword, or with bibliographic information is likely to yield
the best results.

It's important to note that the terms homosexual/heterosexual did not
exist until 1868, so for earlier research, you will want to develop a
list of historical vocabulary and vernacular. The first uses of the
homo/heterosexual term is often considered to be the printing of an 1869
pamphlet by Kertbeny, Károly Maria, 1824-1882.

The terms caught on after the work of Kertbeny appeared in the sexology
periodical Jahrbuhch Fur Sexuelle Zwischenstufen. Havelock Ellis was an
earlier adopter of the terms, further securing it's vernacular use.
