[KATALIST] PubMet 2018 scientific publishing conference

Kedves Kollégák!

 

Szeretnék figyelmükbe ajánlani egy konferenciát, egy horvát kollégától
kaptam a felhívást.

 

University of Zadar and our Institute Ruder Boskovic are organizing a
conference about scientific publishing called PubMet 2018 (20. - 21.
September in Zadar). This meeting has been organized every year and this is
already the 5th edition. The main organizer was the University of Zadar. It
has always been a nice meeting with about 100-150 participants, mainly
editors of Croatian scientific journals, librarians, or people involved in
scientific publishing or scientific policies (metrics, evaluation and topics
of the kind). We also always had several big names as speakers, coming
either from world largest publishers, or people involved in scientific
publishing in different ways. Now, I would like to attract participants from
neighbouring countries as well since this would be a possibility to hear
news on developing trends in scientific publishing, particularly of the open
access form. We'll also have several workshops for editors in several
practical topics like metrics, or avoiding plagierism. The web-site of the
