We are contacting you since ATOS Spain, with the support of the
University Jaume I of Castellon (Spain), is currently supporting the
European Commission - DG CONNECT CNECT.G.3  in carrying out a study
under the contract /SMART 2016/0064 ("Feasibility Study on cross-border
Use of eID and Authentication Services (eIDAS compliant) to Support
Student Mobility and Access to Student Services in Europe")/.

This study analyses the cross-border Use of Electronic Identification
and Authentication Services to support Student Mobility and Access to
Student Services in Higher Education Institutions of the EU, and also,
identifies the issues preventing wider adoption of systems that may
contribute to facilitate this access. ____

At this initial stage of the study (?Data Collection? phase), we aim at
involving key higher education stakeholders in the EU through the
following survey (https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/StudentMobility
<https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/StudentMobility> ) in order to
collect relevant information divided in four different blocks:____

__1)    __Introductory questions about the Higher Education Institution.____

__2)    __Student services offered through a student e-card or other
similar electronic identification solutions and the solutions to access
them.____

__3)    __Barriers to implement online access to student services in an
institution. ____

__4)    __Other information.____

The study will analyse the survey results and compile a report of the
findings, which will be distributed to all participant Higher Education
Institutions. The report will provide a valuable insight into the
current landscape of electronic identification solutions in the area of
cross-border access to student services in the EU.____

It is important that the survey reflects the views and opinions of a
wide range of Higher Education Institutions across Europe as the results
of the study will have a significant impact in the definition of the
European strategy in that area. Thus, your participation in this process
would be very much appreciated. If you are not the right person to
answer the survey, we kindly ask you to send the survey on to someone in
your institution who may be more appropriate. We would also appreciate
if you could distribute the survey to your contacts in Higher Education
institutions of EU.____
