Dear HPC Forum members,

We’d like to advertise the following workshops for you to be held at Poznan at PRACEdays19 / European HPC Summit Week.

PRACEdays19 Hands on Workshops for Students



WHAT

From 13 to 17 May 2019, PRACE will organise the sixth edition of its Scientific and Industrial Conference – PRACEdays19 – as part of the EuroHPC Summit Week, in Poznań, Poland.

The conference offers 5 hands-on workshops:

  2.  Introduction to Spark<https://events.prace-ri.eu/event/850/page/69-pracedays19-hands-on-workshops-for-students#workshop2>
  3.  Introduction to machine learning/AI<https://events.prace-ri.eu/event/850/page/69-pracedays19-hands-on-workshops-for-students#workshop3>
  4.  Development of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms<https://events.prace-ri.eu/event/850/page/69-pracedays19-hands-on-workshops-for-students#workshop4>
  5.  Introduction to HPC computing<https://events.prace-ri.eu/event/850/page/69-pracedays19-hands-on-workshops-for-students#workshop5>

We also encourage you to attend all the plenary sessions.

WHO

Master students, PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, other students and researchers.

In case of interest, the participants can also submit a poster and present it during the poster session (on 14 May 2019, from 19:00-20:00 CEST) at the conference.

WHERE

PSNC - Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center, Jana Pawła II 10, 61-139 Poznań, Poland

GRANT

We offer free registration to the conference and you can use all the conference facilities (coffee breaks, lunches, social programme etc.). We will arrange and pay for the accommodation and reimburse travel costs of students studying and living outside Poland. Number of grants is limited.

DEADLINE

The Call is open until Monday, 15 April 2019 at 17:00 CEST.

Note: Own laptop needed at the workshops. For some of the workshops SSH client should be installed.
