Az MTA Wigner Fizikai Kutatóközpont GPU Laboratóriuma idén is megrendezi a

*GPU Day - The Future of Computing, Graphics and Data Analysis*

konferenciát *2018. június 21-22-én*. Az immáron nyolcadik alkalommal 
megrendezésre kerülő esemény kutatókat, diákokat és fejlesztőket 
hivatott összehozni, mind az akadémia mind pedig az ipar részéről, hogy 
megosszák egymással tapasztalataikat, ismereteiket az alábbi területeken:

- A jelenleg elérhető és a közeljövőben érkező párhuzamos, valamint nagy 
teljesítményű hardverek és szoftverek
- Sok magos programozás a fizikában és más tudomány területeken
- Párhuzamos technológiák orvosi alkalmazása
- Grafika, számítógépes képalkotás
- Gépi tanulás, neurális hálók, mintázat felismerés
- Képfeldolgozás, gépi látás és rekonstrukció
- A fentiek ipari alkalmazásai
- Kvantuminformatika
- Mobil és beágyazott párhuzamos technológiák
- Feltörekvő és alternatív gyorsító technológiák (például FPGA-k)
- Fejlesztői technológiák (nyelvek, fordítók)
