Letter from Chairman, International Officer and committee

many thanks for the official letter sent to me by the Hungarian Local
Studies group at the end of my period of office as Chairman of the UK Local
Studies Group. I was very honoured by this meassage. Thank you. I have
replied officially to the Chairman.

I would like to say that I am still on the national Uk local Studies Group
Committee and have just been nominated and elected as the Group Councillor
on the newly formed body which is superceding the UK Library Association
and the Institute of Information Scientists from April 2002. I am very
pleased about this new challenge.... and I will therefore still be in touch
