CALL FOR PAPERS!
Literature Conference
Place: University of Surrey, England
Date: 24 June 2011
Gender
issues in literature have been a well-researched topic as well as a
popular methodological approach in criticism.
The difference between male and female voices in fiction has been of
key importance. The battle of the two sexes in the form of overpowering
and oppression contributes to the measurement of gender identity.
Masculinised
females and femininised males as well as the marginalised subject in
literature form the kernel of the
one-day conference. We welcome papers in the theme of gender studies
primarily in British and American literature with focus on but not
limited to
·
Social construction
·
Essentialism/anti-essentialism
·
Performativity
·
Domination/oppression
·
Subordination
·
Master-slave dialectic
·
Intersubjectivity
·
Active-passive dichotomy
