AMBASSADOR FOLEY-Aside from her diplomatic experience, she has had an
extensive career in professional management, as well as significant
volunteer leadership positions, including the Co-Chair of the Friends of the
Northern Westchester Shelter.

 

GYÖRGYI TÓTH- NANE is one of two NGOs in Hungary that addresses the issue of
domestic violence. Györgyi Tóth has worked with NANE since 1999, and has
been its director since 2004. Ms. Tóth advocates tirelessly on the behalf of
women, children and families.

 

SECRETARY’S INTERNATIONAL WOMAN OF COURAGE AWARD- In honor of International
Women’s Day 2007, U.S.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice established the annual Award for
International Women of Courage, recognizing women  round the globe who have
shown exceptional courage and leadership in advocating for women's rights
and advancement. This is the only Department of State award that pays
tribute to emerging women leaders worldwide.

 

HBO’S IRON JAWED ANGELS- Oscar®-winner Hilary Swank portrays the American
suffragette Alice Paul, as she leads an outstanding cast in the
inspirational true story of two women who dared to make a stand for women's
rights, and ended up shaping the future of America.
