European Social Science History Conference

Dear Colleagues,

We are looking for one paper to round out an exciting panel for the European
Social Science History Conference next year in Amsterdam:

We are putting together a panel for the Gender Network,
entitled, "Negotiating Modern Space." We are open to papers, focused
upon any region of the world, that examine the tensions and
contradictions of gendered public space. The time frame is the first
half of the twentieth century. Our two papers are based in Turkish
and Palestinian history, and our commentator is a German historian.

The deadline is fast approaching: we must submit the proposal by this
Tuesday, May 31st. If you are interested, please contact us ASAP at
