UNIFEM periodically announces new global and regional funding
priorities for proposals submitted to The Trust Fund in Support
of
Actions to Eliminate Violence against Women, within the scope and
purposes articulated in General Assembly Resolution 50/166. In
2004,
the Trust Fund will provide funding for innovative and catalytic
initiatives to prevent and respond to violence against women in
conflict and post-conflict scenarios. Final decisions for Trust
Fund
grant making are made through a highly competitive selection
process.
On average, around 15 initiatives are selected for support each
year.



Location: Proposals must address specific issues and problems that occur in
the countries, sub-regions or regions of Africa; Asia
