. The European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights Accepts Proposals
for Micro
Projects
The European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) opened a
call for
proposals for "micro" projects--small projects under 100,000 Euro (USD
129, 590)
designed for grassroots NGOs and administered by the European
Commission (EC)
Delegations. The EC has identified four thematic priorities, which
include: (1)
democratization, good governance and the rule of law; (2) abolition of
the death penalty;
(3) torture and impunity, and international tribunals and criminal
courts; (4) racism and
xenophobia, discrimination against minorities and indigenous people.
Each EC
Delegation identifies priorities and has different deadlines for
proposals.
