We are seeking to appoint a specialist in the equality and managing diversity
field. The University has a strong commitment to this area and a long
tradition of teaching and research in equal opportunities and diversity. It is
home to the Women's Library, TUC Library Collection, The Centre for Equality
Research in Business (CERB) and the Working Lives Research Institute. CERB
draws on the scholarship of many staff in the department and has established a
national reputation for its work. In the process it has built strong links
with a number of trade unions and local authorities. The successful candidate
will be expected to teach across the range of programmes, possess a higher
degree, a strong interest in research together with teaching experience and/or
experience of handling diversity and equal opportunities issues in the
workplace.
