Dear Colleague,
please see in the attachment the Call for Proposals for the CENTER FOR POLICY STUDIES INTERNATIONAL POLICY FELLOWSHIPS in 2003 issued out by the Center for Policy Studies at CEU I would like to draw your attention in particular to the Fellowships in Gender Studies. The topic for fellowships in Gender Studies in this round is closely related to an ongoing research project hosted by the Department of Gender Studies at CEU. The short description of the focus for 2003 is:
Gender Policy: Intra-Enterprise Level Gender Inequalities in Post-Socialist Societies
Description:
In the past decade studies on gender inequality in post-state socialist societies have proliferated. Yet, we have very little reliable information on the actual work conditions women face on the labor market and the specific forms of discrimination and disadvantages they encounter at hiring, promotion and wage decisions. Policy fellows in Gender Studies applying in the current round should have experience and interest in addressing this question by studying intra-enterprise level gender inequality using both qualitative and quantitative methods. A critical analysis of the relation between local and European Union policies may also be part of the analysis.
