HESP Summer School MEN AND MASCULINITIES
The Center for Gender Studies, The University of Latvia, is pleased to
announce the competition for participation in the Summer School "Men and
Masculinities" supported by HESP-Soros Foundation.
The course will propose an innovative topic for the development of faculty
in social sciences and humanities, for the promotion of gender research in
men and masculinities in the countries of Eastern/central Europe, Baltic
region, NIS countries. As such, the Summer School will address the topic
from different academic perspectives. As there already exists a body of
scholars involved nationally and internationally in the gender research of
men roles and masculinities, it will also be productive for the researchers
of the region to learn from the innovative research methodologies in
different contexts so that the teaching material can be utilised in their
own countries and, moreover, enable them to develop the gender research on
men roles and masculinities in their region. The target audience of the
Summer School is PhD students and university lecturers/researchers in social
sciences and humanities from Eastern/Central Europe, Baltic region, NIS
