Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International
Affairs has recently created a Master's in Public Policy program designed
for midcareer professionals in a wide range of public service
organizations, whether government agencies or nonprofits, domestic
or international.
Applicants to the program may be citizens of any nation but are required
to have had at least seven years of relevant professional work
experience. Admitted candidates will be required to spend a year on
the Princeton campus, participating in a task force project and taking
courses from the range offered at the Woodrow Wilson School (economics,
quantitative analysis, policy analysis, development studies, demography,
urban and regional planning, etc.).
The School offers financial aid to applicants who demonstrate the need for
it. Up to eight admitted applicants from nonprofit and nogovernmental
organizations will be named "Christian Johnson Endeavor Fellows" for the
1999-2000 school year, making them eligible to receive full tuition
fellowships plus stipends for living expenses.
To be considered for enrollment in the 1999-2000 class, completed
applications are due in Princeton by early January 1999. Among the
requirements for international students who do not have a degree from the
U.S. college or university is a score of 600 or better on the TOEFL
examination.
