I am an American law professor (Rutgers University), who has
specialized in women's questions for the last 25 years. I will be in
Hungary for the World Congress on Medical Law during the first week of
August and for a few days of touring. I am very eager to meet people there
sharing my concerns.
My interests (and work) has included employment discrimination matters,
including sexual harassment and pregnancy discrimination, many questions
about reproductive freedom, domestic violence and other family law concerns,
as well as sex equality challenges to social
security. I am a co-author of the Law of Sex Disrimination(an undergraduate
text) and Sex Discrimination and the Law (a recent version of one our
classic law school texts). I have become particularly interested in Eastern
and Central Europe and am very happy to be part of our upcoming sessions on
reproductive rights in "the region".
For the Congress, I will be in Hotel Euzustpart in Siofok 2nd-6th
August. The telephone # there is (36) 84 360 622. The meeting is being
organized by the Motesz Travel Agency whose Budapest office may be able to
tell you a way to send a FAX or other message to me. That office can be
reached at (361) 312 3807 (phone) or (361) 302 5610 (FAX).
I leave Budapest on the morning of August 9. The best time for me to
meet people in Budapest would be the afternoon of August 7 or anytime on
August 8. These plans are not firm, though, so please contact me if you'd
like to see me some other time.
With best regards to you all and looking forward to making
international contacts,
Nadine Taub
