Dear all,<br>

A friend of mine has come across this caprine metatarsal (photos<br>
attached)  among the faunal assemblage from a medieval castle in Spain.<br>
Although she thinks the artefact is medieval, she does not exclude the<br>
possibility of an earlier date because Bronze age levels were identified<br>
on site, too. The problem is that it derives from old excavations and<br>
the field notes are lost.<br>

Any comments on its use or parallels are most than welcome.<br>
