Hola Marta!!

Nice to hear from you!!!

My guess is that they could be beads from a breastplate (beads are not only for necklaces) given the position of the holes, fit to sewing them to a piece of leather (Or, may be just a button).

If you want I can send you local examples (patagonian, certainly with other kind of beads)

Best

Dear worked bone list,
I am currently working on a Bronze Age site near Toledo (Spain). The two attached bone artefacts were found near the mandible of a human skeleton. In my opinion they were fashioned from cattle radii but I have no idea of their function. The double perforations are present only on one side. The proximal and distal edges of the bone piece are polished. The archaeologist thinks they might be part of a necklace. They are 57 mm in length and the lateral-medial width is 34 mm aprox.
Any thoughts, parallels or comments would be most than welcome.
Best regards and stay healthy,
Marta
