<div dir="ltr">Dear Marloes,<div> I actually have a little pocket knife in my possession almost entirely made from bone (only the rivets are made from metal) which was clearly a memento from the Crimean War. Not medieval nor from a burial but in much the same spirit as your little knife. <p style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px">This miniature knife made of bone has been recovered from a child's grave in a chapel of a monastery and is dated between 1470 and 1572 AD.

<p style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px">Does anyone know of any parallells or has seen similar finds of miniature objects as grave goods? Or perhaps any other suggestions/literature?</p>
