It proves, of course, that in this fine comb from Italy the teeth were sawn <u>after</u> the central plaque was attached between the two side ones.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">That kind of object is usually, basically made of antler, as it seems here (but I don't like to give advices on photographs). I'll search bibliography soon. And the main reason for me to answer is provided by the attacks of the saws (they
where two) on the supplementary bar. I'll tell you that very reason. It deals with a certain link between the teeth of the saw and the teeth of the comb.
