<html><body><div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:verdana, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:13px"><div dir="ltr" id="yui_3_16_0_1_1424336372314_76557">Dear all,</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1424336372314_76663" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1424336372314_76585" dir="ltr">I am translating a (Neolithic) archaeological report from Russian to English and I get some difficulties with two bone pointed tools-related terms: проколка (<i id="yui_3_16_0_1_1424336372314_76696" style="" class="">prokolka</i>) and шило (<i id="yui_3_16_0_1_1424336372314_76715" style="" class="">shilo).</i></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1424336372314_76794" dir="ltr"><br></div><div style="" class="" id="yui_3_16_0_1_1424336372314_76585" dir="ltr">From the text it seems that <i style="" class="">prokolka</i> has (part of) the epiphysis left on at one end, whereas the <i style="" class="">shilo</i> seems to have both ends sharpened. Should I use "awl" for both or do you have any suggestion for a differentiated translation ?
